What is terrorism?
In fact today there is no exact definition of the term "terrorism". Every country defines it its own way. But in general, terrorism is one of the variants of the political tactics connected with the use of ideological reasoned violence. But such definition is not rather correct as terrorism is also the method of the fight for national, religious, etc. views and not only with political goals.
The essence of terrorism is violence with the aim of intimidation. Those who commit terrorist acts are different political and social organizations and just citizens who want to gain some goal. The object of violence is usually the power of the certain governmental workers as the personification of the whole governmental power or peaceful citizens as personification of the whole society including foreigners. The aim of such violence is to achieve the desired goal that is usually one of points in revolutions, destabilization of society, war breaking with foreign countries, getting independence, political changes, etc.
Terrorism has the symbolic function of intimidation that is gained with the help of regular acts as well as with the help of society dissonance. This is also well-thought and planned by social, political, military organizations violence used against people who don't participate in military conflicts.
The definition of terrorism is so contradictory because the essence of terrorism changed during the history. This phenomenon has the stable negative meaning that causes free definitions. On one hand there is the trend to widen the meaning of the word, on the other hand sometimes not reasonable aspects are used.
